The EU has adopted a new set of regulations for the harmonization of ship reporting in Europe. The new regulations come into force on 15 August 2025, and will have an impact on SafeSeaNet Norway, the Norwegian ship reporting system for vessels arriving and departing Norwegian ports.
The new regulations will apply to all EU/EEA countries, including Norway. This means that SafeSeaNet Norway must be adapted to meet the EU's common standard.
Based on the changes resulting from the new regulations, the Norwegian Coastal Administration will build a new Norwegian ship reporting system. The aim is to have this in operational operation before the new EU regulations come into force.
