Navigation rules
The Maritime Traffic Regulations contain navigation rules in certain waters along the coast and at Svalbard. Also, separate navigation rules apply to traffic separation systems and recommended routes in the Norwegian economic zone. -

Requirements for vessels operating in VTS areas in Norway
Use of the VTS areas is regulated by the Maritime Traffic Regulations. The regulations mainly apply to vessels of 24 metres or more. -
